Mr. Sam's album is finally out! Pretty good album, I would give it a 7.5/10. Here's a quick review for each track:

01. Contemporain 02:23

The intro!! Dark energetic electro-breaks! Powerful kicks, and minimal claps followed by some massive techy PHAT distortions. Unfortnately, it's too short in duration, hopefully an extended mix would be out soon.

02. Insight 07:42

A vocal dance-floor track. Does not really fall under the "trance" genre, but a cool track with Kirsty Hawkshaw on the vocals! Do not be dissapointed, because 2 remixes (Airaforce remix, and T4L remix) are already out transforming it into a beautiful trancer. T4L remix is big!

03. Lyteo 07:19

Needs no introduction! Mr. Sam's best work so far. Hammered by the A Djs all around the globe with an outstanding remix by Rank 1! POD 2 & Dance Valley 2005 tune!

04. Lodestar 05:18

A chill-out tune with sweet vocals. (Help me find who's behind the vocals). A good track to relax on while sunbathing 8) .

05. Flying Around 03:48

Already released under Blackhole Recordings under Mr. Sam's "Mojado" project. A techy tribal-like house tune. Funky!

06. Secret 09:09

Sweet vocal trance tune with an interesting groovy buildup. Lovely lyrics, and a lovely melody (in the second part of the track). Lots of energy too!

07. Me & You 03:52

Vocals again! A commercial dance track. Nothing interesting, you can here such stuff all day long on the radio.

08. Neo Vulcan 03:55

Blasting tune!! Too bad it's too short. Weird haunted sounds all over the buildup. Beats fades out slowly, and the breakdown hits the track at 1:37 mark introducing a cool uplifting melody! An extended version please!!

09. Polar Dome 03:37

Tech-trance all the way!! Do you like Randy Katana?? If yes, then you will like Mr. Sam too!! Yup, very close to Katana's productions. Reminds me of "Pleasure Island". booootiful!

10. Lost & Found 07:06

Male vocals this time! Another good dark trancer, with water-droppings sound in the background. And you can't but jump on Mr. Sam's groovy basslines. check it out!

11. Learning To Fly 07:02

Okay..back to female vocals ! A happy trancy vibe in this one (like MORPH's - Heavenly). Not really my type, and some will find it cheesy.

12. Kimia Eya Na Mokili 04:24

Chill-out tune, with male vocals straight out frommmmm AFRICA (I guess). Kimia Eya Na Mokili !....a relaxing tune.

13. Split 06:21

Chill-out + Female Vocals.

14. Alegrya 01:58

The Outro. Chilled out with haunted enchantments in the background.

Total Track Time - 73:54 min

Well, here we finally have it: Mr. Sam's debut album! The guy's taken a fair bit of flack over his partnership with Andreas Dimitri in 'Mojado' with rumours that he doesn't actually contribute anything himself... While that may be true, and while I personally don't care much since I never enjoyed a single Mojado production, we've got a great Uplifting Trance album here. Kirsty Hawkshaw provides the vocals on 'Insight', his latest production, while familiar tracks include the superb 'Lyteo' and 'Flying Around'. Lots of vocal-based tracks on the CD with a downtempo/chillout/ambient feeling like 'Neo Vulcan' and 'Polar Dome', sounding like they have some potential as club hits. So will our dear member PLUR perhaps bring him back this year for an album tour?

^ lol Ziad , i was wondering why there are two topics !

Anyways i'll split my reply to two equal pieces lol

I really , really , really liked Me & You , and i don't know how to define it's genre !

And Insight ! NO comments , one of my favourite tunes !

Okay Now , back to your topic :

As you already mentioned , Mr.Sam's best production is included in the album ! I was wondering whether it is the Rank 1 or the Original Re/mix . But it turned out to be the Rank 1 Remix which is really nice !

As for Neo Vulcan , i actually listened to it's sample , but after what i read i'll make sure to give it another full listen !

I honestly didn't have the chance to listen to the whole album , i only listened to the tracks i mentioned .

Great Review , Thanks !
