A topic was once created asking which moment of the gig was one's favorite; my answer was "hearing a brand new mindblowing track for the very first time"... it just happens to be that this is also my favorite moment of checking new releases - hearing such mindblowing tracks as Titicaca (never mind the title) for the first time. Before I start off idolizing this EP, let me just inaugurate by honestly expressing that this just might be my one favorite release of the year thus far.
This, my friends, is Progressive Trance that isn't about a beautiful melody flying you to a sandy beach, nor Progressive Trance whose deep dark basslines further scorch an already ignited floor - this, for a change, is Progressive Trance that is all about emotion. One of the most epic melodies I've layed my ears on for a while: by "epic" I mean melodies of orcherstral grandiosity, ones that are dramatic to point of heartache. "Epic" is the only work that does justice to Titicaca (Firestorm remix).
The following Fernie remix uplifts the progresser but doesn't quite match up to it, while the bonus Exposure is another epic attempt, but one that is more on the uplifting side of the sound spectrum, giving a different taste of the epic flavor. A radio edit of Titicaca is also up for grabs, one that offers an uplifting interpretation of the progresser I glorified above, in addition to a radio edit of a totally different track called Rapture, both perhaps serving the purpose of a teaser for future releases to come... soon hopefully!
A must-grab people, this is Trance at its very best.
