Re-Locate a.k.a. Octagen just released a brand new vinyl, and a tasty one as well! The vinyl features 2 new tracks from our trancy friend whom we all worshipped when he released Waterfall. Typhoon is the first of these tracks. It doesn't take Re-Locate too long to introduce a solid trancy lead, backed by a solid beat that can easily fill a dancefloor. After a minor break, a second lead pops in, preparing the listener for the melody to come. As the breakdown arrives, the synth melody progressively builds up to finally reach its uplifting climax. Good uplifting melody, nothing too special about it but would work great on a packed dancefloor.

Fortitude, the second track on the vinyl, starts off with a beat that promises yet another uplifting catch. The buildup isn't as good as Typhoon, since there isn't really a melody involved, but just a manipulation of the various beat elements... The breakdown however is a whole different story! Relocate doesn't really take any time to throw in the melody, this time more on the dreamy level than on the uplifting one. This tune has that "Rank 1 ~ Airwave" feel to it, so dreamy it is bound to force your eyes to shut themselves and to take you on a journey to the farthest ends of your mind. Personally, I liked Fortitude more than Typhoon, maybe because I'm a Melodic freak myself. All in all, good vinyl with a bit of everything to satisfy all.
