Cor Fijneman featuring Anita Kelsey ~ Healing

Postby DIONYSOS » Thu Apr 29, 2004 3:13 pm

Cor Fijneman strikes back with Healing, the serious follow up track to his Venus release. Venus catapulted Cor right into the international dance scene, and thanks to this track he was being booked more and more outside of Holland. Healing is different - less dramatic. It’s proving itself on the dance floors right now and will do very well on your home stereo as well... and in my car audio system!

A1 - Healing [Vocal Extended Mix]
Direct start with a full and catchy Trance line. After a minute, some kind of mini break is created to introduce the clear voice of Miss Kelsey. After a while, this will develop into a big break with shivering high strings and a massive synth line. Suddenly, all sounds are muted and a new sharp synth arpeggio enters with some cool sci-fi sounds. This expands into a full pounding Trance riddle, and once the vocals are back the track is at its peak. This sharp synth arpeggio will lead this mix towards the outro where the rhythm part will round it all up.

B1 - Healing [Instrumental Mix]
The start seems identical but very quickly a lead synth line will take over and guide this production towards a long break with that great shivering high strings. If you like strings and synthesizers then this is your thing. The beat will pick it all upbut all in harmony with the rest of the track. Some metal smashing percussions are noticeable towards the end and a clear synth line will cool it all off.

Cor Fijneman has really managed to create a true quality production to follow up his biggest success track, Venus. The mix between synths, vocal elements, and rhythm part is well made creating a really high featured release. The vocal mix is of course more accessible, but the instrumental mix, being absolutely brilliant, doesn’t underperform at all compared to it.
