With nourishing support from a multitude of principle names in EDM, Tigran Oganezov has built up a solid backbone of followers and tracks since 2008 when he left his hardcore beginnings at the doorstep and seeded the roots of a fresh new sound, and this man does gritty tech trance like no other.
His productions and promo mixes first sparked interest in his native Ukraine where club promoters appreciated his tough, imaginative productions and quickly followed attention from record labels including Detox Holland, Spinnin Records and Freefall Recordings. In the short time since he started producing, his tracks have been dropped and popularized through the prolific ranks, with names including Marco V, Judge Jules, Markus Schultz, Marcel Woods, Sied van Riel, Marcus Schossow and Kutski supporting his work.
2010 has been a busy year for Tigran and we have seen several new releases and remixes emerge from this trance virtuoso who has a propensity for creating downright feisty and imposing phonic masterpieces.
Released in April on Prehab Recordings, ‘Colossus’ leans toward a more anthemic big room sound and this track demonstrates the complexity of Tigran’s productions. With it’s dark and punchy bass and pure, bludgeoning tech energy, ‘Colossus’ builds up to a mesmeric crescendo.
