Aly & Fila are on fire lately, with both their productions and their remixes, but not alone this time; Amadeus, Lebanon’s finest dj, on fire also, joined the Egyptian duo to release an excellent uplifter, and take listeners and clubbers to a great trip in Trance.
Lebanon went through a very violent war with Israel last summer 2006, and all the countries of the world witnessed how aggressive and brutal this war was. All people, in all countries, wanted PEACE. Amadeus, Aly, and Fila were 3 out of the many billions; but not any three. These 3 persons knew how to translate their thirst and hunger for Peace to an excellent peaceful and uplifting track.
Shall I start describing the track second by second now? Here we go (Pardon me if I go too technical with my review).
This release is divided into 2 parts: the PEACE REQUEST, by Aly & Fila & Amadeus (the ones who try to ask for peace in soft way), and the WAR DENIAL by John Askew (the one who fights for peace in an aggressive way):
PEACE REQUEST Form:
Original Mix starts with beats, a mid-bassline sound, and a low-bassline, along with a soft open hat (this really reflects how the hunger for Peace is: directly from the beginning, 2 basslines). But no, it is not enough, there should be an Acid touch, to show that PEACE is a NEED to everyone! An acid synth appear after 2 measures of start, and then an introductory melody after 4 measures is composed. While listening to this introduction before the breakdown, you can listen to many delayed melodies here and there; it is just to give you a quick glimpse on how PEACE should be. Breakdown starts at around the 3rd minute, with the main melody that takes you to the world of Paradise, where there is no Evil, no Wars, and no people dying and suffering: just the idealistic world that we wish to live in. Melody is composed in a very soft way, by the side of gr8 dreamy pads that again make sure you live the feeling (I am sure even DEVILS after listening to this breakdown will start thinking to convert to ANGELS). It does not end here; beats come back, with the pads, representing the peace, dominating the tune. Reaching this level, devils will close down their hell, and for sure convert totally to angels and live in paradise peacefully. This uplifting and emotional feel is demanding Peace by simply asking for it.
WAR DENIAL Form:
John Askew wanted to translate his hunger for peace also, but on his own method. His remix’s first minute presents beats, percussions, and main melody of the original, which starts softly (to express this hunger, only at the start). Suddenly, this feeling stops! Punchy and techy bassline kick in, to shake the dancefloor. Melody is cut and delayed ina gr8 way by Askew, and this is shown in the intro. Breakdown starts, with the same peaceful feeling of the original, but but but… Askew asks for Peace in a different way people! Here comes his techy touch, which shows angriness at the same time; angriness and sadness from Wars. This techy touch is demanding Peace by aggressively REJECTINGWAR.
Supported by PvD, AvB, and John Askew himself, this release is expected to pound high, really high, on dancefloors and on radios.
