All good things come in packages. Six:Thirty bring us this fresh package of four different mixes for one track, State Of Becoming, the latest collaboration between rising names Ian Betts and Nick Rowland. The original's an uplifter with a decent melody but could use a beat brush-up. The Ian Betts mix brushes up the beat whilst leaving the main melody virtually intact. Rowland teams up with his usual partner crime Wright for an energy boost but a more outdated sound. Nick then goes solo for the darker treatment with a tight beat, acidy sounds, and psy-influenced effects in the buildup, which are then followed by a relatively short melodic breakdown until the beat punches back in for the kill. The buildup of this last mix make it my pick of the lot, but overall the release isn't all too flashy.[/align]
