Mirco de Govia ~ Voller Sterne [Original Mix]
Progressive Trance again. The buildup is, well, laid-back & progressive, containing some very aquatic elements that make you feel as if you're underwater... even the lead melody is kinda "bubbly". But things really get wet when the breakdown arrives on shore! You really feel like you're on some deserted tropical island, swimming in the clear blue water with the dolphins... Very dreamy track, recommended for everyone; this is the kind of track that makes non-trancers fall for Trance due to its dreamy ambiance. The only disappointment is that after the breakdown is finished, Mirco gets us back to the initial beat without the melody, only to later on throw the latter in; I'm not too much in favor of that particular startegy that some producers tend to use (PvD for instance).
Mirco de Govia ~ Voller Sterne [Super 8 Remix]
Super 8 wanted to give this baby a more energetic touch; this can be shown on the opening beat. But as the beat progresses, you feel that Super8 also wanted to maintain the progressive feel to the original masterpiece. The breakdown features some sort of an organ sound, then the chords are dropped in, with some minimal echoing vocals running around in the back... and then the melody in its full glory! When the beat is dropped back in, the melody is maintained, and DIONYSOS is happy again! Added to the original melody is a super-sweet guitar, that really makes the tune even better. All in all, great vinyl, with both mixes delviering something totally different and aurally pleasing.
