Phynn ~ Exotica [Original Mix]
You might remember this young fella from 'Fictivision & Phynn ~ Escape'. Well, to our aural goodluck he just released a new vinyl! Exotica starts off with the typical tracy beat buildup, until later on some twinkling sounds can be heard here and there, and very soft melody slightly introduced. When the breakdown finally comes, a big smile on your face comes with it. Light pads and very sweet synth keys characterize the melody, which is a pretty happy one (which explains the smile). A true "summer track" from Phynn, I liked it!
Phynn ~ High Tide [Original Mix]
The way that High Tide kicks off promises a more uplifting B-side to this vinyl. After about a minute and a half, some minor keys are thrown in, which instantly reminded me of the Trance sound in 2000 (they don't make them like they used to!). The bassline then elevates and introduces the breakdown; it is here that my speculations turn out to be true as the track quickly evolves into an uplifting piece of work. All in all, good vinyl - not great, but worth a review. Phynn is still very young, and is definetly a promising bloke to keek an eye on.
