Posted: Sun Nov 05, 2006 12:37 pmin my oppinion i think you should start by emulating tunes that u like. for example, choose a cool track that u like and listen to it like 10000 times (or more
) than after listening to each seperate element try to mimic it, try to make the same sounds on reason, get as close as possible.
after that listen to the build up, take notes if you have to and count the progression (you'll see that generally after 8 or 16 bars other elements get intoduced) listen carefully to the effect dynamics, listen to what they do, try to emulate that.
when u get the basic elements done, then you can start adding your own, a kind of remix of the track u chose if you want.
