A late reply is better that a non-existent one and I file my apology
along the side of it.
The start is quite funky and original. It was good craic, I really liked it.
The course of the set was driving enough to keep me into it until the last
five tunes kicked in: mint! I really liked the last five tunes in the set and
the outro simply nailed the set down. You know the type of bass lines and
beats freak that I am and how incurably infected I am when it comes to
hard, phat, mind bending, twisty structured tunes. My suggestion for you is
to take the next time step forward and pick it up from where you dropped
off with some electro-ish psy from productions of the likes of Electro Sun,
Elec3, or even Wizzy Noise.
It would've absolutely nailed the purpose of the set in making it yet more
diverse as well as yet more energetic, this would have also lifted the set to
a new level that many of the listeners are possibly not familiar with,
without risking the repelling side-effect since you already built up the set to
that point (but that's only me ranting about psy involuntarily.. lol).
The set (as pointed out above) didn't totally fit into my parameters, but I
can give a total heads up for the smooth silky transitions and the harmonic
mixing between the tunes as well as a careful blend and build-up of tunes
that delivered the set as pursued. I won't put it into style or genre
parameters because I don't think that's a necessity or a valued comment
at this point plus that I've stopped doing that a while back and therefore,
gave room for your set to expand without verbal horizons and the result
was inarguably more exquisite than of 'It Was a Bright December' of which
I shuffled through quickly and decided to drop it off. (I still love you
though)
Harder Dion, harder, filthier, more savaging & sledge-hammering...
Go
HARDER!
(then again, that's only me ranting...)
