I remember a couple of years ago he wanted to remove the whole Champions League and UEFA Cup and replace them by one competition where the whole teams meet in one single competition! in stead of seeing amazing games like Barca-Liverpool or Real-Bayern, we'll be watching games between unknown clubs, and we'll have to wait for the last stages of the competition to see nice games...

i agree with Roonaldo, Platini has stupid ideas... i hope the CL won't be cancelled... but on the other side, watching games between a ukrainian and a hungarian club for example would be nice cuz we would see the level they have and the big clubs would look closer at the talented players there are advantages and disadvantages to everything

There are advantages... especially in helping the smaller clubs (that's the mission of Platini), but all the magic of the Champions league will be lost! No more Chelsea-Barca in the first round for example...
& he said he wanted to limit the number of participants to a maximum of 3 from each country... I'll take an example from English football because thats what I like: Instead of Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal, we'll be watching the top team in Bosnia...

apart from the CL issue, which i personally think is a good improvment (allowing smaller clubs to compete with clubs like chelsea, barca, manu ...) platini wants to add 2 more line referees on the pitch. what do you have to say to that ?
