i was very disappointed from italy!
CAMORANESI always plays like an ass!!! i hate him!
buffon was good but the defense, ZERO...

I could watch only the last 20 minutes of Spain 4-1 Russia. But from what i watched and the score, i can say that the Spaniards once again kicked off a tournament very well! But remember, 2 years ago at the World Cup Spain won 4-0 against Russia's neighbor, Ukraine, and then didn't shine a lot. Hopefully this time they do well! This team badly deserves to win a trophy with all the talents it has been getting for many years now.

And hey, keep both eyes on Villa and Torres :wink:

i expect them to score goals!

Now Spain has the best attack and best scorer of Euro 2008. First hat-trick of the tournament as well and first big score (finally something different from 1-0, 2-0, 3-0). I hope to see soon a few 2-1, 3-1, 3-2, 4-2! :mrgreen:

Half-time at SVERIGE 0-0 Greece and i have one thing to say now:
DAMN THOSE MEGA BORING GREEKS!!!!!!!! #$^%#&@ :angryfire:

i hated them at Euro 2004 when they beated Czech Republic unfairly (2 penalties had to be given to Czechs and if i remember well there were also 2 posts). I was so much for the Czechs who deserved to win 4 years ago... anyway, it looks like my feelings haven't changed even 1%! Those Greeks seriously need to stop participating at tournaments and meanwhile take some lessons about ENJOYABLE FOOTBALL. Period.

I hope that Sweden wins, even if 1-0 at the 94'!

I can't believe the Greeks didn't change their style. What did they think? That with the same style used 4 years ago they can win again? Zidane, Henry, Nuno Gomes, Baros, Koller, Poborsky, Figo weren't able to kick Greece out, but the Swedes succeeded in beating the current Euro champions for the first time since the 1st game of Euro 2004!

I don't remember the last time i heard so many whistling from the fans in a stadium. The last 15-10 minutes of the first half were anti-football! (a term invented by people after Euro 2004). Until today i can't understand how Greece won the Euro 4 years ago... how can a team win a tournament without creativity, risk-taking, adventurous and enjoyable style? When there were Portugal and Czech Republic who played beaaaauuuuutiful football and had to go home earlier (well... not Portugal

). A team can win a game like this, but win a tournament is for me still an enigma.

Well, like the commentator said, the Greeks would pay, and they payed, the consequences of their lack of football. Zlatan's goal is now by far the most beautiful one in this Euro 2008 and what a beautiful action it was! Short indeed, but simply magic and spontaneous! Never give a little space to a player like Ibrahimovic. It is his first goal in the national team since a 2005 qualifying game for World Cup 2006! As for the second goal, it was kinda... weird and crappy :lol:

but i'm happy that they won by 2 goals. The Vikings showed that they play nice football! Unlike the Greeks... who defined the word "boredom".

Sweden... it's one of the 2 teams i fell in love with in the World Cup 1994 when they grabbed the 3rd place. The first team was of course Brazil. It was my first WC

Sweden didn't show all its potential tonight. It's one of the most athletic teams in Europe, if not THE most. They proved it in the defense. But it's also, i think, the one that has the biggest age average. Many players are either more than 30 years old or getting close to this age. Ljungberg as usual had a big impact on the pitch. Larsson didn't do much. Wilhemsson got a hamstring injury in the second half because he speeded up. The injury must be due to fatigue or to his advanced age. But in 2002 and 2004 he was one hell of a player, i still love him! I think that in the next game Elmander has to start from the first minute. Rosenberg is also another young and great striker! I can't wait for Sweden - Spain, i'm sure that it will be a very entertaining game!

^Everyone can go on and on about the Greek's lack of entertaining football... But I can guarantee you, Otto Rehhagel wasn't the least bit concerned about it in 2004, and he won't be if he won it this time around too. I don't think ANY coach will tell you he's got a problem if his team wins the tournament the same way.
Negative football doesn't guarantee you a win, but in some games it can, especially against tougher opposition. It's not nice to see, but that's football for you

CZECH REPUBLIC 1-1 Portugal at HT! The Portuguese slightly dominate with a few more shots on goal but Cech is there :wink:

i never liked Domenech. What fuckin excuse it is, to say that France didn't play cuz of the unbearable heat (23 degrees :lol:

)... Spain managed to win 4-1 under the rain, the Swedes also won. If the Frenchies say that 23 degrees is a canicule, then they better stay at home in 2010 instead of going to South Africa! And when the Euro will take place in Sweden, they will say it's freezing :lol:

It is forecasted for France-Holland on Friday that it will be cloudy and rainy. What will be the excuse if France doesn't win? "The pitch was too wet" :lol:

can't wait for Friday, i hope that the Oranje will kick some asses again!
