I think the missing piece of the puzzle was when Heitinga went to the game in the place of Boulahrouz... since 2 goals came from Heitinga's side! But still Hiddink was prepared to the match unlike Van Basten... Russia had a clear tactic which they were practicing it during training over and over again and they applied it during the match! Russia played a great tactical match and finished it in a really classy way. All the credits goes first to the Hiddink who did really smart subs then ofcourse to the players...

As for 2nite's match.... i think that Italia have the upper hand, specc when Ramos and Aragones had a big fight during a practice session that of course affected the moral of the team in a really negative way.
We'll kill their midfield and then ofcourse Tony will make their defence suffer... Ah i wish that Pirlo was playing since he was delivering great balls to Tony during the match of France.

Donadoni is an idiot...he has Aquilani on the bench and he settles for Ambrosini in the midfield...if Villa and Torres play well upfront I'm expecting a long and painful night for Chiellini and Panucci...but as we all agreed...Italy seems to have the psychological edge in this one(invincible against Spain in official tournament since 1920...88 years...it's a very long period of time)...

Aragones and Sergio Ramos didn't have a fight cuz they dislike each other. They did it for a reason but obviously the Italian press and fans look at it the expected way they were dealing with an issue, having a discussion about it and talked louder than they should have. But the press always looks for sensational stories and makes a big deal out of something simple. The atmosphere in the team wasn't affected at all.

I don't care about statistics or statisticians, about what "the majority of people say", CASILLAS was, is and will be for a long long time the number one goalkeeper!! Nobody was able to save his team from regular 0-5 defeats as much as Casillas for Real Madrid (during the crisis period).

Spain deserved to qualify way much more than Italy. The Spaniards had more scoring chances and controlled the game better, remained focused till the very last minute despite the fatigue and controlled their emotions during the penalty shootouts. It's true that the Italians had also scoring chances, but they didn't show a better level than previously in the Euro. It's true that Spain was less efficient and quick but they still dominated the game a bit more! Casillas stopped 2 penalties and Fabregas, the rising Spanish star, buried the Italians!

Oh and about the statistics, 88 years just ended screw statistics cuz in the end it all takes place during the 90 minutes TODAY.
