Last night was the shock of my life...I never thought Petr Cech capable of such amateur errors...he's the only one to blame for dropping the ball...I don't think the Czech deserved to lose but I think that after conceding the 2nd goal they were in a "What The Hell Happened" phase and Nihat knocked them out...

They can only blame themselves for these ridiculous mistakes...this team has tons of potential yet they never lived up to their reputation...so sad...

I didn't watch the game since it was less important than the second one, but i know that Holland played mostly with the reserves and still managed to dominate and win! From the analysis i read, Romanians didn't play although they had no choice but to win. Romanians were all the time defending and waiting for the opportunity to attack but when in possession of the ball they became lost on the field.
Congratz to Holland who gets the 9 points just like Croatia.

What to say about France? On the paper this team has world class players and bright young talents like Ribery, Nasri and Benzema. But the reality was completely the opposite on the field. France disappointed from the first to the last second of the tournament, from the game against Romania to this game against Italy. The defence? Absent. Domenech proved once again that he's a complete idiot. Replace Thuram, fine. But replace him with Abidal in central defence? He must be crazy! Then... Ribery gets injured and is replaced by Nasri. Later on Abidal, completely lost in his unusual position, is sent off and... Nasri is replaced by... Boumsong! This is not a smart move if you want to qualify for the next round! France had no defence, and lost 2 offensive midfielders, one from injury, the other one from a stupid decision. Who was left on the field? Only Benzema and Henry tried to do some things. But the thing is that it was too late. Italy enjoyed the game and could have won by a larger margin if not Toni's lack of finish.
To make things "better", Domenech doesn't want to quit, believes that he saw a good game by his team and after the game proposed his girlfriend Estelle to marry him. Well... good luck in private life but this was really not the best moment! A whole nation is depressed and he talks about getting married. Others are always guilty for him, but he's always innocent. He never admits his mistakes (only now he said about a lack of communication). Actually i do believe that France reached the final in 2006 thanks to Zidane. And today, more than ever, the team looked like it really needed Zizou on the field to lead them to the final. A new era began in France, time for most of the older players to retire and to give chances to the young players (Sagna, Clichy, Benzema, Ben Arfa, Nasri, Ribery, etc...).

But i wouldn't mind if Domenech stays till 2010

France would suck then too haha!
