Lebanon has a national rugby team?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?

fuck fuck fuck.... I NEVER KNEEEWWWWWWWW!!!!!

I rugby!!!!
I'm on the verge of starting to play it here in Ireland, but i have to say:
LEBANON?! Is that the same lebanon that had this endless war?!

This is GREAT! I really should admit: this is astounding! Apparently they
beat Japan and the US in the World Cup qualifiers 2003 and so far this year
they've beaten Morocco and Serbia as well as Italy to win the
Mediterranean Cup (no clue wtf that is... google it). They're playing Ireland
on Friday night over in England - Go Lebs!!!!! I never supported Ireland -
I'm with the French all the way when it comes to rubgy... the french are
kickarse!!!! anyway, now seriously, Lebanon?! Any rugby fans in here by
the way?

oh by the way, they're nicknamed The Cedars.... 8)
Sweeeet....

Neeko L Irish!!!!!

yea but this is not like football or basketball.... or ... ping pong....
anyone can do those..... my 37-year-old-nicotine-loving-uncle plays
football (although that's accompanied by an unpleasant display of
multicolour flem visual action) but it's something else....

it's different, it's harder, more challenging and a lot more discpline and
physique is required. I've never watched it properly until about 2 months
ago when the world cup started, but i did watch glimpes of it in the Six
Nations Cup in February (when France smashed Ireland in the middle of
Croke Park in Dublin - teeeehhhhhheeeeeeeeee!!!!) and I really saw what
the game is about and how great it is!! (plus, there's so much history in it -
it's much older than football)

so yea.. where were we?

yea, Neeeeeeeeko L Irish!!!!

The lebanese team once had a friendly match with the french guys here in Tripoli (4 yrs ago? and i still remember well when the electricity went off..TWICE)... The french won, but it was a gr8 match indeed, as i remember..
However, most of the lebanese team players used to live in Australia.. I have no idea abt what the team is doing nowadays.

You're confusing stuff here i think.
Japan and US were beaten by our Rugby XV team (the rugby you just saw on the World Cup), whereas in the MedCup, it was Rugby XIII or XI i don't remember well... We also beat France in the MedCup, but usually Rugby XIII or XI of big rugby nations (like France) aren't pro.

But yeah, the Lebanese rugby scene, altho small, exists! We have 2 clubs and about 3 college teams.

I don't know if we have Rugby 7's. To my knowledge, we don't!

Well we play the rugby league that is different from the rugby union that is more popular around the world...

Welcome to DJ.Malaria you may wonder why I called this group Dj Malaria.
Just like Malaria takes over a person's body when it hits them i want my music's originality to control the soul of whoever hears it in that sense my music is more powerful than Malaria, and I'm sure it will but in a positive way of
course.

Wa3333333333
Lebanon just beat Wales 56-20, after being down 10-0 after 10min and being down 16-10 at half time!! Great second half from the lebanese.
They now face Samoa in their final qualifying match next wednesday. If they win, they qualify to the Rugby League WORLD CUP 2008!!!!!
