I'm talking specifically about the point where you are under so much pressure and stress that you would think to yourself "I could use a vacation right now!" when you really don't have that option. Where do you go to relax for a couple of hours? What's that special place that simply takes you away from the thought of work, friends, family, music, food...etc. ?
Do you prefer to be alone?
What's it like in the relaxation spot?
For me, it's the barber shop. I tried spas but there's just too much movement going on after every session in the package I pay for. Massages require a lot of rubbing, beating, movement...etc. Makes me feel like a piece of dough. Spas aren't really my number 1 preference when it comes to relaxation.
The barber shop on the other hand is very relaxing. Usually barbers love to talk, complain, and rant. I just tell them to shut up and do their job right from the start. All I have to do is move my head every now and then and that's it.
There's nothing better than hearing those scissors snip across your hair while you're just spacing out about absolutely nothing. The resonance of the electric shaver going through my sideburns helps me forget about the daily music that I listen to since it serves as "white noise" that substitutes my music that is constantly playing in my head. My phone is [u]always[/b] switched off when I'm getting a hair cut/trim. The 1 hour of relaxation that I get every 2 weeks is simply what I crave for after a wave of exams and projects.
