'Breaking The Silence' is a deep dive into the different facades of dance music, reaching out to all those in favour of progressive, trance and anything else that's needed to propel this musical journey. Andy Moor disturbs silence without letting it lose its peace by presenting his first compilation album.

This interview was conducted by our dear member, talented DJ & producer Raneem. Thanks man!

1- Hey Daniel!!! What’s up?! Spending good time in the studio lately, huh?
Hi man, yeah it has been a quite hectic time!!! But it was definitely worth it. I spent most time to work for my upcoming In Trance We Trust compilation, which is scheduled for early October. I also felt asleep in the studio recently, but I don’t know if that is “spending good time”?

Review: Sasha & Digweed live in Beirut | Biel (15-08-2009) PDF Print E-mail

sasha-digweed

Saturday night was legendary for many electronic music fanatics, as two gorgeously talented artists finally made it “together” in Beirut: sharing one single Dj-booth, one city, one crowd, one atmosphere, two apple books, and two musical tastes eventually combined. In my and many other opinions, Sasha took over the mental part as usual. And Digweed took care of the sensual part of this musical journey. Having them both on decks lifted music to very high standards where heart and mind astonishingly blended together and became as one.

My night kicked off with maDJam’s warm-up, which lasted for almost an hour for me before Sasha took over. maDJam’s was on the right track most of the time, I love his warm-up session despite for some very few confusing moments. However the music kept the vibe on and successfully warmed us up to Alexander & John’s mind-blowing music. Well done Ahmad, again.

Review: Above & Beyond @ La Marina Dbayye [18-07-09] PDF Print E-mail

Ever since their first performance in Lebanon Above & Beyond has been marking a valuable presence in our hearts and minds. And keeping up to their initial promise, Jono, Anthony and Paavo delivered one gorgeously special night on Saturday.

Arriving to Marina JK Dbayeh at around 11:30, Ronin & Nesta were on their way to leave place for Jaytech over the deck. Jaytech was so far sure of his performance, always with a blissful smile on his face. The warm up was a solid mixing of melodies and straight on progressive sounds most of the time while dropping some tech-y beats since now and then. The crowd enjoyed it and got pleasure of it as it surely built the mood up to the main set’s standards as usual. Again Jaytech’s mixing was really good reflecting a great talent.

Armin Van Buuren Official Review May 09, 2009 PDF Print E-mail
Written by e-sam

I will say this at the very beginning if you missed this event SHAME ON YOU! (Folks living abroad are excused)

Lebanon was eagerly waiting for this event and tickets were selling on the fly. I arrived around 11 PM and the place was already packing up with the masses. The security at the very beginning was very strict and this is a very positive sign of rules enforcement. Even if you look like my grandpa you MUST show your ID or you will be denied entrance. The organization of the place inside was unique. The VIP are at the outer layer (high elevation) then followed by the VVIP (medium elevation) and in the middle the Regular (ground). From a bird view it is a U-Shape which spreads all over Biel! This shape will show its magic later when Armin's imagine messages start to broadcast. I will come to this later. When I arrived my friend Amadeus was wrapping up his opening set for DJ Remy to start the warm up for the man of the night AvB. I didn't have the chance to hear much of the opening so I'll leave it for someone else to review it. As for the warm up I can safely say that DJ Remy did a great job as he slowly puts us in the mood for Armin to blow us away. At this time the place was PACKED as in maybe 15,000? I am not sure but I wouldn't be surprised if this was the official figure of the attendees announced by the organizer. As soon as Armin stepped on the booth our friend MadJam introduced him and everyone went crazy! Not only had the clubbers gone crazy but also BIEL. The lighting, fireworks, go-go dancers, lasers & visuals were determined to make this night a memorial one. The imagine messages added the AvB flavor and reminded me of his set in Los Angeles USA at New Year's Eve. I would like to thank the VJ deeply from my heart for his amazing work in synchronizing some tracks with its official video clip. Kudos you did a great job! Now I will return to the U-shape I mentioned previously and promised to get back to. There was a period I would like to flashback to so maybe you will visualize yourself in the moment we lived in. It goes like this
