James Zabiela explains how we'll "look through the player, not have to burn CDs or stare at the laptop screen"

"brings the DJing back to the crowd"

Well it's def some type of CDJ with connection to a hard drive/USB stick/computer or something....

"Dawn of a New Species"

this is the long-awaited successor to the CDJ-1000 and I CAN'T WAIT to see what it's all about!!!

the three lines look like a CDJ Jog dial, but take a look at the video- let's see what happens on 17.09.09!

Read more for now on http://forums.pioneerdj.com/eve/forums/ ... /831103472

Pioneer are keeping super quiet about it though...

I think the videos over over-hyped the idea when in reality it could simply go down to just being a hybrid between the CDJ 400 (which contains USB/HDD features) and the CDJ 1000, and then somehow blend in a taste of Ableton and/or Traktor.

This is as far as they can go with the digital side of things.

I'm personally not too excited. Just curious. Let's see what Pioneer is working on.
